Tukad mean river in Balinese languange, and Cepung mean flow, so 'Tukad Cepung Waterfall' means the Cepung River-flow.
Tukad Cepung Waterfall has mesmerized everyone who have managed to spot it. Well-guarded by the cliffs, this waterfall is difficult to locate for the first time visitor.
A few hundred stairs down the cliff is worth the effort once you arrive at the destination.

How to Get to Tukad Cepung Waterfall
You can reach the Tukad Cepung Waterfall easily from any place in the south, west, north and the center of Bali and enjoy a ride there which is almost as beautiful as the waterfall itself.
However if you come from Ubud shouldn’t take more than 50 minutes drive by car or motorbike. And 1,5 to 2 hours drive from south Bali either Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak area.
Tukad Cepung Waterfall is reachable by any vehicles, but is the no public transportation to get there.
Another opportunity is going there by Taxi or hire a car with driver which is more expensive but still quite cheap.
Once you’re there and payed a small fee at the entry, you need to hike about 30-40 minutes to reach the well hidden waterfall.
From the parking lot you will need to walk down through the stairs to reach the river.
The waterfall located just behind the cave , so you can not see the waterfall when you arrive at the river.
Ye have to walk through narrow cave to get in, and when you enter the cave you will see the waterfall behind the big wall looking like a cave .

Tukad Cepung Waterfall is located in the eastern part of Bali in Jalan Tembuku, Dusun Penida Kelod, Tembuku, Bangli regency, Bali, Indonesia.
It’s about 1 hour 13 min from Denpasar City or 1 hour 26 min from Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Visits to the Tukad Cepung Waterfall are subject to an entrance fee of IDR 10,000 per person, both for domestic tourists and foreigners.
However, since the area is well-maintained by the local villagers and it would be kind if you gave a tip so they can continue to maintain this hidden spot.
Best Time to Visit Tibumana Waterfall
Although open for most of the day we recommend visiting Tibumana waterall sometime early in the morning to help avoid any possible influx of tourists.
While this is one of the least touristy waterfalls in Bali, it’s probably best to get here before 11am since that is what time most local tours begin arriving.
What to Expect at Tukad Cepung Waterfall
The beauty of this waterfall has its own uniqueness that looks like water that falls from the sky because the sunlight coming from above the waterfall illuminates the water.
Located 30 kilometres north-west of Ubud, you will witness a rare view of a waterfall that should not be missed. Though there are plenty of waterfalls worth visiting in Bali, Tukad Cepung Waterfall is one of its kind.
If you are coming from Denpasar, you can reach Dusun Penida Kelod in Bangli by car or motorbike in about two hours.
Local buses leaving from Denpasar can also drop you at Bangli, and then you can trek your way to Tukad Cepung Waterfall.
The walk from the car park is around 10 minutes down and 15 minutes up through the villagers farm , irrigation canal and also stairs.
After arriving at the entrance you walk down what seems like hundreds of steps to a small river. After wading (ankle deep) through and into a cave you come to the first stunning opening.
You will find some of the visitors standing under the waterfall and having a good time splashing water.
ince the place is well-maintained, you should expect to see a clean and hygienic surrounding area.
